Transparency booming ITE. Ex-pot smuggler seeks job.

Share Let’s face it. With more and more corporate big wigs being popped and exposed for screwing us out of our money, trust is progressively waning at full-throttle. Part of the fallout is a demand for corporate transparency. People want to know who they are dealing with. They want to know who is asking them [...]

Microsoft is offering a $250,000 bounty for information that leads to the arrest of the people that created the Conficker worm. They are also offering $1,000,000 for the disembodied head of the king of these hackers. Yeah, that last part isn’t true but the gloves have come off all the same.

BREAKING NEWS: Working for GM still sucks

GM announced today that they will be cutting 10,000 employees, which equates to about 14% of their salaried workers. The real news, at least to me, was that there were still 10,000 people left at GM to be laid off.

Game over for EA?

According to VGchartz.com video game giant, Electronic Arts, posts a massive Q3 loss of $641 million – as if $33 million wasn’t bad the previous quarter. But that’s not the extent of the bad news. 1,100 heads are also scheduled to roll at all levels of employment, as well as a freeze on all raises. Here’s where it gets strange, EA’s revenue was up from $1.5 billion to $1.65 billion. Is it just me, or are we living in an era of the financial freakshow? Shit is just not making sense these days.

A letter to Macy’s executives

Macy’s gave their top executives $1.39 million in performance bonuses today. These bonuses were a final payout of owed bonus money from 2004 but still, this is some terrible shit. At least wait a few weeks to make the payout so that you seem less heartless. Or maybe just waive that final payment althogether and keep a few hundred people on the job.

Actually, hold on, maybe I just don’t know how big business works. That must be it. Because, to me, it just looks like a bunch of dudes are getting paid for the good work they did in 2004 without any regard for the absolutely shitty work they are doing today. I think the whole thing stinks. Like shit in the sun.
