You can’t spell advertising without ITE: Drocolate’s favorite ad of all time

Posted by drocolate on July 27th, 2010

There are A LOT of really terrible advertisements out there these days.

So, with that in mind, I want to take a few minutes to randomly give some love to an ad that is the complete opposite of terrible.

Behold my favorite ad of all time:

Such a classic.

I love…

  • The incredible song (click HERE for a translation of the lyrics)
  • The spokesman guy’s dance moves
  • The synchronized slapping
  • The ridiculously oversized can (there is a ton of poison in that tallboy)

That's a HUGE can.

It’s all just so perfect.

Thank you, Super Timor. Thank you.

Now let’s get back to the overwhelmingly shit-ass ads of today, like these ingenius Clash of the Titans banners from the CNN.com homepage this morning:

DOES THE BLU-RAY COME OUT TODAY OR TOMORROW?!?! FUCK! I NEED TO SEE THAT ALTERNATE ENDING TO KNOW HOW IT ALL COULD HAVE ENDED! C’MON! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!

-sigh-

  1. Drocolate, you’re my Le no1.

  2. drocolate

    Thank you.

    I guess.

  3. I feel like this is a commentary on East Timor. Or Indonesia. Or terrorism. Or weed (Indonesia being a synonym for indo being a synonym for weed being a synonym for East Timor etc.).

  4. Or malaria?
