Idiots run across highway for free graham crackers in Dallas

The temperature is rising in Dallas, and with it so is the number of crazy people doing crazy things.

Just take today’s graham cracker incident as further proof of this.

Here’s a rundown of what happened.

Last night a graham cracker delivery truck mysteriously crashed around a highway juncture in Big D. The wreck left the driver badly injured and the nearby street and median covered in boxes of delicious, buttery graham crackers. In the hours that followed the driver was taken to the hospital for treatment and the crackers were left behind.

Quick sidenote: That woman’s kids have ADHD AND bipolar disorder? Yeah, she’s going to need more than some fuckin’ Teddy Grahams to suppress that.

So, to sum up the scene: The sun came up and illuminated a mountain of graham crackers on the side of a major highway. This mountain attracted dozens of motorists to abandon their cars and (in some cases) run across the highway to loot some of these crackers from the mangled wreckage. This looting party in turn caused massive slowdowns on Dallas roads and effed up a lot of people’s mornings.

Wow.

The part of this story that I’m struggling with the most is the people who were walking across the highway to get some of these crackers. WALKING ACROSS THE BUSY HIGHWAY?!?! FOR DISCARDED HONEY MAIDS??!? C’MON! THAT SHIT IS INSANE!

I’m amazed. And scared. And hungry.

    This doesn’t seem too weird to me. You have to keep in mind that graham crackers are 1/3 of the ingredients you need for SMORES.

    Hmmm… good point.

    Can you imagine the chaos if marshmallow and chocolate trucks would have broken down as well?

    Dallas probably wouldn’t still be standing.
