HOLY HOLEY WAR. It’s National Donut Day!!!

Turns out there’s more than one free donut player on June 4th, the day also known as National Donut Day. It’s Krispy Kreme. The fancier of the two donut purveyors is also offering their sugary wares for free on Friday. But Krispy Kreme has another edge on the competition: there’s no beverage purchase requirement in order to get your free ‘nut. So there is an obvious winner here, at least in this economy.

So here’s what I suggest. You get your fat, American ass over to your local, participating Krispy Kreme location. Then you get your freebie. To go. You drive that glazed darling over to your local, participating Dunkin’ Donuts and purchase their absolute smallest plain coffee beverage. You get your second freebie donut. Then you find an empty parking spot, sit in your car and hide from the world. You eat your two freebies, washing them down with a caffeinated punch to the gut, and have a good old cry. It’ll feel real good.
