Bristol Palin’s unplanned pregnancy is really paying off

Posted by drocolate on May 18th, 2010

Remember 2008? When Sarah Palin was plucked from relative obscurity to become the teapublican party’s next big thing? Now do you remember how at the height of Mrs. Palin’s righteous conservative traditionalist fervor her very own daughter revealed that she was pregnant? Oh, and that she wasn’t married?

Yeah, those were crazy times.

But do you know what’s even crazier? Now, that very same Palin daughter is being paid between $15,000 and $30,000 to give speeches at everything from fundraisers to abstinence-related functions.

That’s right folks, Bristol Palin is commanding five figures to basically go before a group of people who already love her and say “don’t do what I did”. It’s like Tiger Woods speaking at a fidelity conference (is that a thing?) or Rick Perry speaking at a group meeting of the People Who Are Not Douchebags Association (PWANDA). It just doesn’t make sense.

And please don’t misunderstand me. I’m not trying to give Bristol shit for her unplanned pregnancy. That sort of thing happens and I’m sure her parents already scolded her enough for the whole world. No, I’m merely saying that her going rate is a little high. If she really wanted to pass on the good word about saving yourself then she’d do it for free. And she wouldn’t do it on a case by case basis, she would commit herself to it.

She’s out for a paycheck and that’s obvious.

And I guess in that way she’s just like her mother.

PWANDA for life.

Oh, one more thing. When I typed Bristol’s name into Google the search terms that popped up were… interesting. Check it out:

Let’s get her to the Good Values Fundamentalist Abstinence rally now! Yeah!

Do you are a a Douchebag. Bristol is not commanding that much, those figures are what she was offered.

From the article I linked to in the piece:

“Bristol Palin is hitting the speakers’ circuit and will command between $15,000 and $30,000 for each appearance, Palin family attorney Thomas Van Flein said Monday.”

  3. Some of her pictures make me want to give her an unplanned pregnancy. Is it still unplanned if only one party plans it?
