FREE STUFF FAIL: NO FREE Iced Coffee for YOU!

The sweet taste of failure.
Here at ITE, free shit makes us happy. That’s obvious. But what makes us mad? Well, lots of things, honestly, but the specific anger-inducing thing I’m going to address today is when other people get free shit and we get left out.
So thanks for nothing, Dunkin’.
Today is supposedly Free Iced Coffee Day at Dunkin’ Donuts. But not all Dunkins and not for everybody.
I used social media to find out about this fail, via The Inquisitr’s Twitter account that I follow. See how easy it was for me to find out something negative about a company? Real easy. It came to me! Anyway, here’s the deal. Apparently, something like a free coffee day (or free anything for that matter) really gets around—like a cheap whore, really—on the Internet. And naturally when people find out about something like free coffee day, they figure if they have that purveyor of coffee in their state, that they too can partake in the freeness. Makes sense. Except today, for people outside of Baltimore, Charlottesville, Cleveland, Harrisonburg, Norfolk, Washington, Youngstown, Pittsburgh, Richmond, Roanoke, Salisbury, Philadelphia and Phoenix, there will be no free coffee day. It’s a limited promotion. The nerve!
Well, people are pissed. And rightly so. I should be able to drive about 20 minutes out of my way today to find the one DnD location that I know of in town and get free coffee from them! Even though I can get free coffee from work! Or make it at home! Or buy it for $2! Gosh darnit!
Yeah it’s a little ridiculous. But it teaches us a lesson. Don’t take free shit for granted. And also fuck you, Roanoke.
