This chick will marry you for health care benefits – I’m not kidding

Posted by rondostar on February 1st, 2010

Ok, I just saw this on the local news here in Dallas, but this is definitely a national story. This chick, Terri Carlson, will marry you on one condition: you have badass health care benefits. That’s right -- if you have a job that provides you with stellar benefits, she could be your loving (ok, maybe not loving) bride.

She is a 45 year old divorced mother of 4 in San Diego, California with a genetic immune disorder (sad, yes). Her Cobra coverage will run out within this year, so she is looking for a “HEALTHCARE HUSBAND”.

BOTTOM LINE:  I can’t count on anyone but myself.  After exploring ALL options, the end result is my search for a HEALTHCARE HUSBAND.  Forget about romance, I just need a man with a good health plan!

If you are desperate for a new bride and have kick-ass health care benefits to go around, go check her out. But make sure you fit her criteria, first. You can find out if you do by watching the video below. Godspeed!

  3. I feel sorry for people without health care :(

  4. I would boink her and then be like “j/k I don’t really have insurance…problem?”

I looked up her genetic disorder on Wikipedia. It looks like some sort of lupus like disorder. That sucks as it’s basically a disorder where your body attacks itself until you die.

As a mother of four, and after two years of being divorced it’s quite apparent she is desperate to get health insurance before time runs out. I’m sure there are *many* other people in her situation, but who have not put up websites. It is ridiculous in a way, but also sad. Who knows maybe she’ll marry a gay guy who wants a tax break… ;)

  6. It’s chicks like this that give money/health care grubbing whores a bad name.
