Prostidude: The Country’s First Legit Gigolo

Posted by breadwinner on January 25th, 2010

Go USA! Go shit economy!

Otherwise, the fine, young ex-Marine pictured below wouldn’t have the right to call himself the country’s first legal gigolo. And then we couldn’t call him PROSTIDUDE.

And what a shame that would be.

Now taking appointments. And antibiotics.

According to msnbc.com, the hero of our American tale has been hired by the Shady Lady Ranch legal brothel in Nevada to service their female clients. And here I thought their HR department hired him as a benefit to their female employees. I was way off. Turns out after dropping out of college, Markus (strong name there btw) spent some quality time in the porn industry (and in the gym, of course). So he’s certainly qualified, ladies. He then spent time in a homeless shelter, which more than qualifies him to be featured on this blog.

The very short msnbc.com news story that’s probably shorter than this guy’s 15 minutes of fame will be let us know that this past weekend was when his very first appointments were scheduled! GAH I wonder how they went! I tend to imagine it went sorta like this:

Oh. And $300 an hour is the estimated rate for legal sex with a dude for money. In. This. Economy.

But hold up. Speaking of dudes:

There’s one hitch. Lonely, horny ladies can pay for the Prostidude’s skillz, but not lonely, horny homeboys. He’s apparently getting shat on for refusing to have sex with dudes. So, basically, men have been able to have legal sex at legal brothels in Nevada with women, and now women can have legal sex at legal brothels in Nevada with men (well, really, just “man”), but gay men can’t have legal sex at legal brothels in Nevada with men because this guy isn’t into that or something. Yet Pretty Ricky can do whatever the hell he wants?! Maybe someone should call the civil rights peeps.

Which brings us to the the best part.

Before reading about Markus, I had no idea that Rosa Parks was in the brothel business! Yeah! Turns out Markus has been quoted as saying that his battle to become the first legal male prostitute “was ‘just the same’ as civil rights icon Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat and move to the back of the bus.” What?

But! They are both from Alabama!

Unfortunately, “Prostidude” was not available for comment at the time of this posting, as he has been “forbidden from doing interviews after the remarks.” Again, what a shame. If he had been available, I figure our convo probably would have gone something like this:

Side note: Did you guys know that someone went put in the time to upload the entire Deuce Bigelow European Gigolo movie on YouTube?! It has thirteen parts! Who is going to watch thirteen YouTube clips of that movie?!!!! It’s about as useful as a wooden bathtub. Or arm rests on a toilet seat. Wait. They actually have both of those at the Shady Lady. No joke.

I digress.

This really thorough blog described Markus as “burly” which I thought was interesting considering he’s obviously waxed clean. You can tell from this sexy profile pic or whatever it is. Also, there’s good news to be had because the owners of the Shady Lady Ranch (KILLER name by the by) have said they’ve received “dozens of e-mails expressing interest in the gigolo.” In that case, I have to conclude that it was a good move to hire him, PR and all, in this economy.
