In This Economy?

This Wednesday, November 11, is Veteran’s Day and thanks to some generous restaurants our veterans and active military personnel will get some free eats all day. Here’s a quick run down of what I found. If you hear about anything else, please leave a comment below.

Applebee’s

I’m not going to lie. I really dislike Applebee’s (but not on an Olive Garden level of dislike… I just don’t dig their food). However, even I have to admit that what they’re doing for the military is cool. This Wednesday, all vets and active duty military can get a full meal for free. The menu is limited so check it out HERE before you head out. Free Applebee’s is bound to taste better than Applebee’s that costs money. I hope…

Krispy Kreme

The gooey donut chain is giving away one free donut of any variety to all past and present military this Wednesday. I’d recommend stopping there right after you hit up Applebee’s. Mmmmm, dessert donuts.

Outback Steakhouse

The Australian-themed Chili’s is giving away a free drink and Bloomin’ Onion to all vets and active military on the 11th. That’s not to be confused with the Awesome Blossom at Chili’s. They’re, like, totally different products.

So, just in case you weren’t following along, our deserving vets have now got an appetizer and drink at Outback, a full meal at Applebee’s and a dessert donut from Krispy Kreme. While they won’t be eating like kings they’ll definitely be eating like Americans, and that’s pretty cool.

Thanks for everything you do and have done, veterans. Without you there wouldn’t be an economy to bitch about.
