FREE STUFF ALERT: 2 for 1 Sundaes at Ben & Jerry’s!

It’s because the economy blows and it’s nice to get a little somethin’ somethin’ for free every once-in-a-while to dull the pain of this recession. So here goes:

WHO: Ben & Jerry’s
WHAT: BOGO! Buy One Get One ice cream sundaes
WHEN: Every Monday starting today, June 22nd, through August
WHY: It’s your ice cream sundae BAILOUT yo!
BJ’s is positioning this particular bailout as a sort of remedy for the Monday’s. In their press release, Walt Freese, Chief Euphoria Officer of Ben & Jerry’s said, “During these tough economic times, we want to ensure that people can still afford simple indulgences as we continue our mission to spread joy for the belly and soul.”
Chief Euphoria Officer?! Walt?!?!?! Damn I fucking love ice cream. And there’s also a Spokes-Poobah for Ben & Jerry’s. His name is Sean. He says at B&J’s they’ve taken to using the new catchphrase TGIM, or, Thanks Goodness It’s Monday. That. Is. So. Effing. Cute. Actually, I think all this sweetness and happiness is going to make me puke. At least then I’ll have room for my second (and free) ice cream sundae. Just call me the Chief Binge/Purge Officer!
Anyway, bring along a friend and head to your local Ben & Jerry’s tonight and every monday this summer. I think I’m gonna need a gym membership bailout next. Ooh! Or maybe a lipo bailout. Fingers crossed!
