It’s time for another episode of Waste of Money.
Today I’m going to rant pointlessly about:
Creed Concert Tickets
My dislike of the band Creed has been well documented on this blog before. In fact, just a few weeks ago I took a shot at Creed’s new album Full Circle and it started one of the most memorable comment strings in ITE history (check it out HERE).
So, naturally, I had to come back and stir the pot one more time. And this time I have Creed’s live show in my sights.
Oh, and I’m going to do my best to write this article at a 3rd grade level for all the Creed superfans out there. Yes, I just took it there.
So why are Creed concert tickets a waste of money?
It’s simple really: They are a waste of money because Creed’s live show sucks. And Creed’s live show sucks because Creed sucks.
Let me break it down for you.
You can’t polish a piece of shit. Or cover up for all the forgettable songs a piece of shit is playing by blasting off a ridiculous amount of pyrotechnics.
You also can’t cover up for the fact that every song in a piece of shit’s catalog sounds exactly the same by constantly dropping in overly long guitar solos and vocal wankery. If I wanted to watch someone masturbate onstage I’d book a long weekend in Tijuana.
(Just to be clear for all the Creed superfans that are still reading this — the piece of shit I’m talking about up there is Creed. I don’t want you guys getting lost in my complicated analogy.)
Oh, and it is NEVER awesome when a piece of shit’s guitar player puts his leg up on an amp while “shredding”. Or when a piece of shit’s lead singer and guitar player go “back to back” at a really powerful moment in a song. Yeah, and leather pants? What the fuck, guys? Seriously?
Yeah.
I don’t really know what else to say. Let’s just hope Scott Stapp can remember the words to his songs this time around.
