TRENDWATCH UPDATE: SHADOWHARE, MEET YOUR SUBURBAN NEMESIS
Posted by breadwinner on May 6th, 2009I got a tip off (thanks to TheAmazingSpiderTick) that News Radio station KRLD was doing a piece (okay maybe more like 20 seconds) about Shadowhare’s arch nemesis. I quickly tuned in just in time to catch the story.
According to KRLD, someone who has identified himself only as “E,” from a group of what I can only imagine are evil scoundrels and no-good-doers called the “Consortium of Evil”, has posted an ad on his local Craigslist offering $10 for the secret identity of Shadowhare. $10. I’m honestly a little surprised “E” wouldn’t spend his hard-earned cash to go see the new Star Trek movie instead, but to each his own I guess. I repeat, $10?!
Cheapness aside, I imagine “E” must be a total bad ass. Maybe his name is something really embarrassing like Ebenezer or Ecclesiastes or maybe he is the evil Economy itself. Whatevs. I’m going to start going by “B” now just to be as cool as that guy.
I searched for the alleged craigslist ad for at least five minutes. I even checked the “lost + found” section. Anyway, while looking for the ad I came across this. I don’t understand it and I certainly don’t condone it, but there it is.
Also, there’s this:
Let’s get back to the task at hand. With this news comes the obvious fact that more suburban superheroes are seriously needed. And now we must be more steadfast and braver than ever. Because someone wants us dead. They want us dead so bad they’d pay someone $10 for it.
Now quit effing around and GET OUT THERE people!
