FREE STUFF ALERT: El Pollo Loco is giving away free chicken on April 28th

The chicken wars have begun.
It’s also official!
Next week is free chicken week.
We reported last week that KGC (formerly KFC) is going to be giving away free chicken on Monday, April 27th as a way to celebrate the roll out of their new grilled chicken line. They even put an AWESOME website together featuring lots of people dancing because they love chicken.
Then today we were contacted by a rep from El Pollo Loco, a rival fast food chicken restaurant, about their upcoming free chicken offer.
Crazy Chicken had this to say:
I noticed your post about KFC’s grilled chicken giveaway on Monday and wanted to share some exciting news with you from El Pollo Loco. Our flame-grilled chicken is the real thing and will not let our “grilled” chicken competitor pull the “feathers” over consumers’ eyes with grill marks on top of “cooked-in-an-oven” chicken. To help end this chicken travesty El Pollo Loco is inviting chicken-lovers to Taste the Fire for FREE at El Pollo Loco locations on Tuesday, April 28 until 8 pm to quiet the cluck of imposter grillers. Customers who ask to Taste the Fire will be given two FREE pieces (leg and thigh) of El Pollo Loco’s famous citrus-marinated, flame-grilled chicken plus two tortillas and fresh salsa. No purchase will be necessary, making this an even juicier deal.

In my opinion, that El Pollo Loco offer sounds way better. And those grill lines on that KGC chicken really do look like they’ve been painted on.
But my opinion doesn’t matter because next week you can try them both for FREE. You can make the call yourself!
