Costa Rican reality show bailout package — DENIED

Everyone’s favorite Lego-haired super-douche, Rod Blagojevich, was dealt a crushing blow yesterday when a judge denied his request to participate in an upcoming reality TV show in the jungles of Costa Rica.
Wow. What a sentence that was.
The NBC reality show (which I can’t believe FOX didn’t grab) is called I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! (great fucking title), and it’s like Survivor with “celebrities”. Which celebrities? Well right now A+++ listers like Janice Dickinson, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Geraldo Rivera, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt and Sanjaya Malakar (he’s that American Idol loser dude with the horse hair) are all scheduled to make their way out into the jungles for a chance to win money and fame.
But, alas, no Blago.
See, the trouble for Roddy is that he’s currently facing a metric shit ton of corruption and racketeering charges for that whole attempted senate seat sale debacle from a few months back. In addition to that, he’s facing heat for all the horrible things he was overheard saying thanks to a microphone planted in his office as a part of the investigation into said corruption and racketeering. Oh, and he’s also facing accusations of being a shithead. From me.

Due to all of that baggage, the judge on the case, U.S. District Judge James B. Zagel, denied him the Costa Rican reality show bailout package because he felt it was more important for Blagojevich to focus on his upcoming trial.
Blago’s lawyers were attempting to get the reality show moved to a location inside the U.S. so that Roddy could participate, but NBC said no. The jungles of Costa Rica or the Starbucks parking lot in Springfield, Illinois? Yeah, that’s a pretty easy choice.
So for now, poor Blago will be stuck here in America.
And I bet him and Dog would have had a REALLY awesome rapport, too. Such a shame.
