FREE STUFF ALERT: KFC is giving away free chicken on April 27

KFC is introducing grilled chicken (KGC?) at the end of this month and to celebrate this momentous occassion they are going to be giving away a free piece of this new fowl to their customers on April 27th.

News of free cinnamon rolls and KGC chicken in the same day?! We can only hope that food deals are like celebrity deaths and come in threes.

Wait. Are you saying they have GRILLS at KFC!? I respectfully disagree, sir. They probably just throw those skinless, grill-marked chicken pieces into the fryer with everything else.

Just back from lunch at the newly christened LGC, here’s how it went down:
1. Lines around the block people, like they were giving away bread in Russia or something.
2. Nobody knows how to drive or park, so it was about 20 minutes to get to the talk box.
3. THEY WERE OUT OF CHICKEN!!! That’s right, it was a fifteen minute wait for the next batch of grilled chicken. I was offered a free piece of their original or crispy, yet still felt a little sad. You’d think that they would have seen the youtube video – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pyW6w5B7Aw – about Popeye’s running of chicken and tried to avoid that hot mess.
