Jessica Silverman is a really good guesser

A 26-year old Harlem resident named Jessica Silverman won $25,000 last week by correctly guessing the amount of jellybeans in a jar. Insurance firm, DeWitt Stern had set up the jellybean guessing contest as a part of their booth at the Co-op and Condo Festival in NYC. Jessica correctly guessed that there were 7,954 beans in the jar.
But that’s not the craziest part! It turns out Jessica won a similar contest when she was a 5-year old kindergarten student. However, back then she only won a stuffed dragon. Not $25k. I mean, how crazy is that!? It’s just sooooo nutty! I mean, WOW! Seriously! So crazy! Yay! Yippee! Awesome! Weee—
—Ok, enough, I can’t keep writing this without getting something off my chest. I’ve got a major crush on Jessica Silverman. You see I subscribe to the Abdul method of attraction. That method states that opposites attract. It also states that if you take two steps forward, the other person should take two steps back…or something. And there’s a cartoon cat. But that is not the point.
The point is that Jessica Silverman and I are opposites, and by the principles set forth by the Abdul method, I am attracted to her because of this.
Let me explain:
- She is a woman. I am a man. OPPOSITE!
- She is really good at guessing. I suck at guessing (I picked Baylor University to win it all during March Madness…WTF, I know). OPPOSITE!
- She lives in Harlem. I do not live in Harlem. OPPOSITE!
- She has long hair. I have short hair. OPPOSITE!
- She just won $25,000. I did not. OPPOSITE!
And that’s just the beginning of our oppositeness. Seriously, this is crazy. I don’t want this to get weird, but Ms. Silverman, if you’re reading this and you’re looking for a cartoon cat to match your Paula Abdul, send me a message HERE.
Ok, I feel way better now that I have that off my chest. Wow.
So what were we talking about?
