In case you missed it, March was apparently National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. And April is National Poetry month. So to celebrate, Digestive CARE (TM) is combining the best of both worlds and offering a free colonoscopy (or a $500 cash prize) in its “Bottom Line Poetry Contest.”
What do you have to do to get your free exam? Simple. Just compose the best new original poem about colonoscopies.
Your original poem should be submitted directly to info@digestivarecareonline.com. Write “COLON POEM” in the subject line. The deadline for submission is April 30, 2009.
So, if you need something to get those creative juices flowing, this and this ought to help you along
What will your poem be about? Personally, I’m looking into haiku. Feel free to post your contributions in the comments and don’t forget to check back here next week to see entries from your favorite ITE bloggers.
And a special thanks to Mattress Kitten for bringing this one to our attention.

THANK YOU MATTRESS KITTEN!!!!!!
You’re welcome! And I’m sorry I’m such a heinous bitch. It’s this damn economy. And hormones.
You need to channel that anger into a butt poem.
Roses are red, Buttholes are blue…

[...] So, last week, we let you all know about a contest where you can win a FREE colonoscopy — or $500 (your choice). If you missed it, get all the info here. [...]
A free Colonoscopy is a great prize. I might want to write a poem on how I love life and how I want to enjoy it.
