I have one, and I only ever use it when I'm watching tv and eating or watching tv and doing homework, or on my laptop. No, they're not going to help you at a frigid sporting event, and no one's going to use it while they're playing the piano, but they are extremely cozy. I admit, I have never used mine somewhere other than a couch or a chair, but they're amazing when you're just relaxing.
