Crazy woman with wand (who is not a wizard) disrupts funeral through the power of dance
Posted by drocolate on March 6th, 2009Sometimes a story comes along that has absolutely nothing to do with the economy, yet is so absurd that I feel the need to report on it anyway. See THIS and THIS for examples.
The following is another one of these stories.

A woman in North Carolina disrupted a funeral on Tuesday by dancing in front of the service, waving a wand around the casket, opening the lid, laying her hands on the deceased’s head and striking the deceased’s body with the aforementioned wand. No one at the funeral knew this woman. This wasn’t some distant relative that no one really liked. This was a complete stranger.
Imagine that for a second. You’re sitting at a funeral. It’s a very somber time. All of a sudden some woman ambles in. She has a wand. Yeah, a wand. She then starts dancing in front of the casket. With her wand. Then she really takes crazy to another level by opening the casket and getting handsy with the body. WITH A FUCKING WAND.
I’m really stuck on the wand. Who carries a wand? Is she a wizard? Her name is Nicole. That’s not a wizard name.
Wizard or not, her crazy didn’t stop there.
After the “performance” was over, the woman took flowers from the top of the casket and threw them at the family before leaving in a burgundy Toyota. I guess she was expecting more applause.
When the police apprehended her later that day she said she acted the way she did because “she felt that it was the right thing to do at the time.”
There was no word on what ever happened to the wand.

wow wow and wow. that is just….wow.
Ok, Ron Weasley is a wizard, and Ron isn’t exactly a wizard name. What IS a wizard name anyway?
I’m talking about real wizards. Not Harry Potter wizards. In real life wizards have names like Remus, Xander, Merlin (obviously), uhmmmm…Gandalf, Pops, Santa, Puzzle Man, Zeke, Xavier, Lucious, Luscious, Mage-o, Rasputin and Carlos.
There are way more. That’s just a sample.
So, no one got up and stopped this crazy wizard lady? Weird. I guess they were afraid of a spell being cast or something.
Carlos? Really?
