Sew you want a promotion?

A man in Veracruz, Mexico has sewn his lips together to draw attention to his fight for a promotion. He has also done it to draw attention to the fact that he is completely insane.
He used a needle and thread to put five stitches through his lips outside the water company in Veracruz on Tuesday. The five stitches may be a purposeful homage to the five years he has been fighting for a promotion. It may also just be random, because, as I said above, this guy is completely insane.
After seamstressing the hell out of his visage he handed a statement to reporters (who I guess were already there…the story on Yahoo! is a little tight-lipped on details). The statement explained how the man had pleaded his case before several state institutions but never got the promotion he desired.
How sewing his lips together will eventually get him this promotion remains to be seen. I really don’t think it’s going to make him look more attractive to recruiters, but human resources is not my specialty. What would an interview be like with this guy? You ask a question and he just murmurs some gibberish and bleeds on your desk. No thanks.
If you’re currently out of work, DO NOT look at this dude as a brave pioneer in the world of corporate negotiating.
Frankly, the whole thing has rendered me speechless. Just like him.
