girl scouts robbed out side the Walgreens!

As if things weren’t already bad for the Girl Scouts of America, things just got worse. Last Wednesday two Girl Scouts -- Brownie Troop -- and their troop leaders were robbed for $250 cash. In a premeditated plot, the Brownie Bandits made the hit right at the end of the troop’s shift outside a San Antonio Walgreens, complete with get away driver. Troop leaders were quick to pronounce that the robbers snatched the cash straight from the 3rd grader’s hands and not from theirs. How freakin’ cruel!

KSAT reports that one scout was left devastated in fright. There is one bright side to this story: customers of this particular Walgreens donated enough cash to cover the losses.

See the video report here:

Now, do you all remember the unremorseful 17 year old chicks that stole $164 in cold hard cash from the troop outside the Winn-Dixie in Florida last year? What about one’s infamous response when questioned by reporters:

“I’m not sorry, I’m just pissed that I got caught,”

See the video here:

I think it is now safe to assume, after two years in a row, that Girl Scout robberies are offically a trend. What will the troops do to contend with the bad guys? They have to be brainstorming a security plan, right? Maybe each troop will be outfitted with an armored vehicle to conduct sales, ala the Pope Mobile. Armed guards? What will they do!? Could the increase in security costs push them over the edge financially, In This Economy?
