Comcast is hiring

At least the Comcast offices in the Tucson, Arizona area surely will be after an epic screw up yesterday during the Super Bowl. In the fourth quarter, right after Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald caught a long touchdown to put the Cardinals on top, Tuscon viewers (Tucsonians? Tucsonics? Tucsonites?) were treated to ten seconds of what CNN.com describes as “eye-popping pornographic imagery”. The porn appeared only for some of the people who were watching the game on Comcast Cable, which means, naturally, that they are to blame.
Here’s what they had to say:
“We are mortified by last evening’s Super Bowl interruption, and deeply apologize to our customers for the inappropriate programming…our initial investigation suggests this was an isolated malicious act.”
Wow. And I thought this was the only porn on last night’s Super Bowl:
Side note: Something very similar once happened to me and my family during dinner in a neighborhood restaurant. I was maybe 15. An employee was messing with the remote and somehow clicked over to a channel that was featuring some lesbian porn. That was the day I learned what a “69″ looked like. Man that restaurant had a great club sandwich…
